My goal when joining the gym was to get back into shape. I was completely out of condition and needed to sort myself out. I felt bad about myself. I was losing self esteem. It was important to me to regain confidence in myself. And hopefully, to live longer.
After initially working under my own steam, mainly doing just cardiovascular exercise. I wanted to gain the confidence to enter the weight zone. I realised to do this properly and without seriously injuring myself, I would need the help to a professional. My first experience was better than expected. I surprised myself how quickly I adapted.
I would advise anyone who seriously wants to improve their health, wellbeing and fitness to go for it.
