Stabilization training

Stabilization with the NASM OPT model consists of two phases of training Corrective Exercise Training (CET) and Integrated Stabilization Training (IST). The major components that make up these phases are corrective flexibility, core stabilization, balance, reactive, resistance and cardio-respiratory.

The progression for this block of training is proprioceptively based. This means that introducing more challenge to the balance and stabilization systems of the body thus increases difficulty.
